Theft case solved in Pulwama, accused arrested: Police

Srinagar : Police on Tuesday said that it has solved a theft case by arresting an accused lady involved in the commission of crime and also recovered stolen property worth lakhs of rupees from her possession.
In a statement issued on Tuesday police said that Police Station Rajpora on January, 3 this year received a written complaint from one person namely Manzoor Ahmad Dar son of GhQadir resident of Bellow Dargund who stated therein that some unknown person/persons have stolen golden ornaments from his residential house.
Stating that case vide FIR No. 02/2022 under relevant sections of law was registered in Police Station Rajpora and investigation was initiated, police in it’s statement further said that during the course of investigation, officers taking assistance of modern techniques arrested the accused who was working at the tailoring shop of the complainant located near his residential house and subsequently was shifted to Women Police Station where she remains in custody.
“On her disclosure, the investigating team were able to recover stolen gold items which includes one chain with pendulum, one bangles, one ear rings, two Jhumkas, two rings, one badge”, the police statement reads, adding therein that “further investigation is in progress”.
In the concluding para of it’s statement police resolved to act tough against the individuals involved in criminal activities.
