1523 vaccinated in 15-18 age group, 2689 samples collected in Ramban

Ramban | : As many as 1523 children in the 15-18 age group were vaccinated and 2689 samples for covid testing were Tuesday collected here across Ramban district.
As per the District Immunization Officer, Dr, Suresh the Health Department administered the vaccination to 1707 people including 1523 children in the 15-18 years age group, which includes 580 in Medical Block Banihal, 529 in Batote, 299 in Ukhral and 115 in Gool. As per CEO, Ramban total 3697 Children have been vaccinated against the target of 19268 in the 15-18 years age group across the district in two days.
Continuing the enforcement drive to implement Covid protocol across the district, the Enforcement Teams Tuesday fined scores of violators for roaming without wearing face masks and not maintaining physical distance.
The enforcement teams, during the inspection in their respective jurisdictions, recovered a fine of Rs 38, 800 taking the total amount fined since April 1, 2021 to Rs. 79, 34, 500. The Enforcement officers urged the people to wear face masks and maintain physical distance besides taking Covid vaccination doses at their nearest CVC.
As per daily bulletin issued by the Chief Medical Officer, Ramban, Dr. Mohammad FareedBhat, the Health Department has collected 2689 samples including 593 RT-PCR and 2096 RAT samples besides administering Covid vaccine to 1707 persons at dedicated Vaccination Centres in the district.
