Police inaugurates T20 cricket tournament in Awantipora

Awantipora| :Police under the aegis of Civic Action Programme inaugurated T20 knockout Cricket Tournament at District Police Lines Awantipora.
The tournament was inaugurated by SSP Awantipora Shri Mohd Yousuf-JKPS, besides other senior officers were also present. 12 teams from various areas of Police District Awantipora are participating in the tournament. The inaugural match was played between Batagund Hunters Eleven vs Asian Eleven Satpokhran.
SSP Awantipora while interacting with the players expressed that J&K Police is on fore front in organizing various sports events as it brings positive energy in the youth, imbibe sports & competitive spirit, good health and keeps the individual away from the negative forces. He further stated that more such sports activities shall be organized in the Police District Awantipora in future.
Community members especially the participants have shown extraordinary enthusiasm and applauded the Police for arranging and organizing such events in order to boost their morale and expressed hope that such events will be organised in future too.
