COVID-19: JK reports 165 new positive cases, 335665 recovered

SRINAGAR: The Government today informed that 165 new positive cases of novel Corona virus (COVID-19), 66 from Jammu division and 99 from Kashmir division, have been reported today, thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 341624.

Moreover, 133 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged from various hospitals including 28 from Jammu Division and 105 from Kashmir Division.

The Bulletin informs that no new case of Mucormycosis has been reported today, thus the total number of confirmed cases remains 50 across J&K..

On COVID vaccination, the bulletin informs that 55,509doses of COVID vaccine have been administered in the last 24 hours bringing the cumulative number of doses administered across J&K to 1,87,09,895.

According to the daily Media Bulletin on novel Corona virus (Covid-19), out of 341624 positive cases, 1429are Active Positive (508in Jammu Division and 921in Kashmir Division), 335665 have recovered and 4530 have died; 2199 in Jammu division and 2331in Kashmir division.

The Bulletin further said that out of 19453304 test results available, 341624 samples have tested positive and 19111680 samples have been tested as negative till date. Besides, 62,778 COVID tests have been conducted in last 24 hours.

Till date 5246176 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 7839 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 1429 in isolation and 433806 in home surveillance. Besides, 4798572 persons have completed their surveillance period.

Providing district-wise breakup for positive cases reported today, the Bulletin said that Srinagar reported 41 cases, Baramulla reported 18 cases, Budgam reported 13 cases, Pulwama reported 06case, Kupwara reported 05 cases, Anantnag reported 05cases, Bandipora reported 01case, Ganderbal reported 10cases while as Kulgam and Shopian reported no fresh case for today.

Similarly, Jammu reported 31cases, Udhampur reported 03 cases, Rajouri reported 01case, Doda reported 06 cases, Kathua reported 03 cases, Samba reported 03 cases, Poonch reported 07 cases, Reasi reported 09 cases, Ramban reported 03 cases while as Kishtwar reported no fresh cases for today.

The bulletin further informs the general public that they can contact helpline numbers 0191-2520982/2674444/2674115/2674908/2549676 in Jammu Division and 0194-2440283/2430581/2452052/2457313/2457312 in Kashmir Division for any kind of guidance and assistance.

In case of emergency, people can avail free ambulance services 24×7 by calling toll free number 108 while as pregnant women and sick infants can avail free services by dialling toll free number 102, the bulletin reads.

It also informs that the public can reach national helpline by dialling 1075.
