Doda | : District Development Commissioner Doda Vikas Sharma Saturday briefed the media about modalities finalised for roll out of Covid-19 vaccination to children of age group 15 to 17 years. The DDC also spoke on the special Registration Camps (Mega Registration Drive) to be held from January 3rd to January 6th for registration of left out beneficiaries for AB-PM JAY-SEHAT.
It was informed that from 3rd January the Covid-19 vaccination shall be given to the children between the age group 15 to 17 years at their own/ nearest schools. In first phase, 61 schools have been identified for vaccination from 3rd of this month. The schedule of the vaccination school wise shall be issued and circulated separately which shall also be available at the website of DC office Doda.
The DDC appealed to the parents, teachers and students to make the efforts of the government successful by doing their part. He said that it is evident that vaccinated persons have least chance of getting Covid-19 infections and if infected remains asymptomatic or has fewer symptoms than the one who is not vaccinated. He appeals to children of the targeted age group to come to their designated vaccination site (Schools) and get their vaccine jab in time.
Speaking on the Mega Registration camps across the district for registration of AB-PM JAY-SEHAT, he said that 21 sites have been identified across the district, touching all the blocks, where CSC volunteers, Health and Revenue Officials shall be available from 3rd to 6th of January for on spot registration on the portal. He further informed that those who do not find their names in SEC survey can also give their documents to the officials in these camps so that the issue can be resolved and a golden card is provided to them.
The name of designated places with contact number of the incharge has already been circulated and is also available on the website.
The DDC further said that the move aims at achieving universal coverage under the flagship health insurance scheme in the district.
He appealed the public who have not made their Golden Cards till date, to visit the nearest centre along with ADHAAR and Ration card for on the spot registration and secure the unseen expenses on sudden health related issues. He said that the scheme has made health care affordable to all, as the Golden card is guarantee of 5 lakhs free health insurance to all in the empanelled hospitals.
