Ramban | : Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Mussarat Islam Saturday convened a meeting with Sarpanches to discuss execution of developmental works besides implementation of the beneficiary and youth oriented schemes in their Panchayats.
While appreciating the PRIs for their role in preventing spread of Covid infection, achieving target of 100% vaccination of 18 plus people and other developmental activities, the Deputy Commissioner said that coordination between three tiers of Panchyati Raj System is imperative for the development of the district, especially in rural areas.
The DC said that with the coordinated efforts, the district will achieve tangible results in all sectors. He asked the Sarpanches to guide the youth of their respective areas to avail benefit of Self Employment Scheme like NRLM, Tejaswini, MUMKIN, MUDRA and PMEGP etc.
The DC asked the PRIs to guide the local registered contractors for taking part in the tendering process of works under Area Development Fund of DDC, BDC and PRIs being implemented by the Rural Engineering Works Department and monitor the completion and quality of the allotted works.
Apprising the meeting about various developmental projects completed or being executed in different areas of the district at different level, the DC directed DPO, Ashok Katoch to organize monthly meetings of Sarpanches with the district Administration
Earlier, the DC gave a patient hearing to the issues projected by PRIs and said that the administration is committed to resolve all the genuine demands of the public.
While responding to the issues raised by the PRIs about implementation of all flagship schemes including MGNREGA, PMAY-G, SBM and 14-FC, the DC directed concerned officers to resolve their issues on priority basis.
