Covid-19 In JK: 2 deaths reported in last 24 hours, toll rises to 4530

Srinagar: Jammu & Kashmir on Saturday reported 169 new positive cases of novel Corona virus (COVID-19), 68 from Jammu division and 101 from Kashmir division, taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 341459, stating therein further that two fresh COVID deaths reported from Kashmir Division mounted death toll to 5430 in Jammu & Kashmir.
In it’s above referred covid media bulletin government further said that moreover, 107more COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged from various hospitals including 20from Jammu Division and 87 from Kashmir Division, stating therein further that no new case of Mucormycosis has been reported Saturday, thus the total number of confirmed cases remains 50 across J&K.
On COVID vaccination, the bulletin informs that 62,682doses of COVID vaccine have been administered in the last 24 hours bringing the cumulative number of doses administered across J&K to1,86,48,550.
According to the daily Media Bulletin on novel Corona virus (Covid-19), out of 341459 positive cases, 1397are Active Positive (470in Jammu Division and 927in Kashmir Division), 335532 have recovered and 4530 have died; 2199 in Jammu division and 2331in Kashmir division.
The Bulletin further said that out of 19390526 test results available, 341459 samples have tested positive and 19049067 samples have been tested as negative till date. Besides, 65,920 COVID tests have been conducted in last 24 hours.
Till date 5231075 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 7814persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 1397 in isolation and 432992 in home surveillance. Besides, 4784342 persons have completed their surveillance period.
Providing district-wise breakup for positive cases reported Saturday, the Bulletin said that Srinagar reported 48 cases, Baramulla reported 15 cases, Budgam reported 05 cases, Pulwama reported 10 case, Kupwara reported 10cases, Anantnag reported 03 cases, Bandipora reported 01case, Ganderbal reported 09cases while as Kulgam and Shopian reported no fresh case for Saturday.
Similarly, Jammu reported 34cases, Udhampur reported 02cases, Rajouri reported 01case, Doda reported 10cases, Kathua reported 05 cases, Samba reported 01 case, Poonch reported 02cases,Reasi reported 13 cases while as Kishtwar and Ramban reported no fresh cases for Saturday.
The bulletin further informs the general public that they can contact helpline numbers 0191-2520982/2674444/2674115/2674908/2549676 in Jammu Division and 0194-2440283/2430581/2452052/2457313/2457312 in Kashmir Division for any kind of guidance and assistance.
In case of emergency, people can avail free ambulance services 24×7 by calling toll free number 108 while as pregnant women and sick infants can avail free services by dialling toll free number 102, the bulletin reads.
It also informs that the public can reach national helpline by dialling 1075.
