DC Srinagar reviews enrolment of beneficiaries under PMJAY-SEHAT

Srinagar | : To speed up the pace of ongoing registration of beneficiaries under Ayushman Bharat – Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana-SEHAT Scheme (AB-PMJAY-SEHAT), the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Mohammed Aijaz Asad Wednesday chaired a meeting to review the progress of registration of beneficiaries and generation of Golden Cards in Srinagar district.
Mission Director National Health Mission (NHM), who is also the CEO Ayushman Bharat, Mohammad Yaseen Chowdhary was also present in the meeting.
During the meeting, a detailed discussion was held on the present status with regard to implementation of AB-PMJAY-SEHAT in Srinagar district.
The meeting also discussed in detail the modalities for speeding up the registration for SEHAT scheme and a multipronged strategy was devised to achieve the set target of providing Golden card to every citizen in Srinagar District.
On the occasion, the DC passed directions to all the concerned for mass mobilisation to ensure that left out population is covered under the scheme so that they are entitled to the benefits of Golden Card.
The DC directed all Tehsildars and ZMOs to ensure mobilization of left-out population in their respective jurisdictions by utilizing the services of Anganwari workers, Ashas and BLOs.
He also stressed on ensuring presence of adequate manpower(VLEs) at the sites to enrol maximum beneficiaries in the district.
The Tehsil Supply Officers of FCS&CA were asked to inform the Ration card holders about the benefits of having a Golden Card and were directed to ensure all ration card holders are covered under the scheme.
While special enrollment camps for employees and their family members are to be held to expand the ambit of coverage under the scheme. Each HOD to give certificate that all of the employees and their families have received Golden cards.
Highlighting the benefits of the scheme, the DC said that AB PM-JAY SEHAT Scheme is one of the most ambitious schemes launched by the Government aimed at to provide free of cost Universal Health Insurance Coverage up to Rs 5 lakh per family on a floater basis in convergence with Central Government’s Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY).
The CEO Ayushman Bharat, also spoke in the meeting and said that all necessary arrangements will be made at all designated Golden Card Registration sites, besides appropriate Information Education and Communication (IEC) activities on mission mode will also be carried out for creating mass awareness in the district for speeding up registration process.
He called for coordinated efforts in expanding the ambit of SEHAT scheme so that all eligible persons of Srinagar district are benefitted.
The meeting was informed that as many as 4.17 lakh individuals have been registered with Ayushman Bharat in Srinagar district so far.
Besides, Additional District Development Commissioner, Gulzar Ahmad, the meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Gulzar Ahmad, Chief Planning Officer, SDM West, SDM East, District Programme Officer, ICDS, Chief Education Officer, Chief Medical Officer Srinagar, District Panchayat Officer, Zonal Medical Officers, Tehsildars, Block Development Officers, District Officer Ayushman Bharat, District Coordinator CSC and other concerned.
