Block Divas: DC Kulgam listens to public at Devsar

Kulgam | : To ensure good governance and for prompt public issues/ grievances redressal, the District Administration Kulgam Wednesday organized Mega Block Diwas cum grievance redressal camp at D. H. Pora, Devsar and Kulgam blocks.
The Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, Dr.Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat presided over grievance redressal camp at Devsar to listen to issues, grievances and demands of people.
On the occasion, locals and the PRI members flagged-off various demands and issues pertaining to their respective areas for early disposal.
Several delegations from Dradgund, Lamad, Churat, Zungalpora, Bihama, Agroo, Pahaloo, Kilam, Gujjar Basti and other areas attended the grievance redressal camp and put-forth their issues and grievances for timely redressal.
A delegation From Devsar demanded extension of bus stand and fencing to middle school while people from Maskhud GujjarBasti demanded for development of Maskhud road and fencing of school.
People from Lamad, Parraypora demanded upgradation of transformer and from Dradgund demanded augmentation of water supply scenario whose project has already been submitted besides tanker supply.
Astanpora churat people demanded streetlights and development of lanes.
Officers present on the spot also responded to queries and issues raised by the people and several issues and grievances were redressed on the spot.
The DC directed the concerned to ensure proper dumping of solid wastes.
While responding to the demand of development of Maskhud road, the DC directed RDD to take up the road. He also instructed concerned departments to utilize the available spring in the Dradgund area as a water supply source.
Several other issues and grievances were also redressed by the DC on-spot.
ADC, ACD, CMO, Executive Engineers, DSP, BDO, DMO, ARTO, CAHO and other officers were present in the grievance redressal camp.
Similar grievance redressal camps were organized at D.H.Pora and Kulgam blocks.
