DDC Shopian reviews progress under Distt Capex Budget 2021-22

Shopian | : The District Development Commissioner (DDC), Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishya Tuesday chaired a meeting of all District/Sectoral Officers to review the status and progress of works being executed under District Capex 2021-22.
The meeting discussed detailed proposals under the District Capex, 2021-22 including physical status of all approved works targeted for completion.
During the meeting, the executing agencies were instructed to complete the works within the stipulated time to avoid cost and time escalation. The executing agencies were also directed to convey the savings if any, so that these funds can be re-appropriated from competent authorities.
The DDC took a detailed review of all works under each sector and asked the officers to ensure the required percent tendering and allotment of all approved/authorized works is completed within the next two days so that physical execution of works is undertaken as soon as possible.
He also asked the concerned officers to reconcile the works nomenclature and check out any pendency in works to ensure early execution and timely completion of all the developmental works.
The District and Sectoral Officers were asked to identify the works for the year 2021-22 which are feasible and can be completed within the shortest possible time.
The DDC directed the officers to work in coordinated manner with line departments and work with synergy to achieve development goals well in time keeping in view the limited working season and to cater to the developmental needs of the district with focus on creating tangible assets.
He stressed on the concerned authorities to take all possible measures to accelerate the pace of ongoing works for their time-bound completion.
Vaishya cautioned that any kind of laxity in completing the works within the fixed timeline will not be tolerated at all. He also exhorted for mobilizing men and machinery for completing the works in stipulated time frame besides urged to ensure productive and fruitful utilization of the available resources.
Among others, the meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner, Panchayat; Chief Planning Officer, Khursheed Ahmed Khatana; Assistant Director, Planning, Ex. Engineers, Chief Education Officer, Chief Medical Officer, AEE’s, and other officers.
