Padma Shri Padma Sachdev Govt P.G. College Women organises Int’l Webinar on ‘Energy Conservation’

Jammu | : NSS Units and Department of Environmental Science, Padma Shri Padma Sachdev Government P.G. College for Women Gandhi Nagar organised a one day International Webinar on ‘ Energy Conservation’ under the Patronage of Principal Dr. Sangita Nagari, here Monday.
The programme started with the welcome address by Dr. Basharat Hamid, Department of Environmental Science, who welcomed the Guest Speaker- Dr. Pankaj Kumar Gupta along with faculty and students of the College. He formally introduced Dr. Gupta who is presently working as Post Doctoral Fellow at University of Waterloo, Canada.
Dr. Gupta gave a detailed account of energy use and energy conservation at individual level, Community level, Industrial level and Global level. He further added that we should promote ecosystem- based management and nature -based entrepreneurship for economic development. Dr. Gupta also suggested the students explore possibilities in the field of High Altitude Farming and Bio-Fuel Products.
A total of 119 students and 12 faculty members attended the webinar.
Principal, Dr. Sangita Nagari congratulated the organizing committee for such a wonderful and informative Webinar.
The programme ended with the vote of thanks by Prof. Mala Bhasin HoD Botany and NSS Programme Officer (Unit-1).
