Rajouri : During the week-long program launched for improving public service delivery down to village and Panchayat level, Health Block Kandi organised a series of special health camps on each day at various locations for the public.
The camps were conducted at Budhal, Peeri, Jamola, Swari and Naga Thub under the chairmanship of Dr Iqbal Malik, BMO Kandi.
On the final day the health camp was organised at Naga Thub -a far flung area with difficult terrain. Several health services were provided to the public at these camps on the spot.
The teams also issued many documents including old age certificates for pension, medical fitness certificates for labour card, widow certificates for pension, medical illness certificates and others.
Besides, awareness regarding COVID Omicron Variant was also imparted to the public and people were advised to strictly adhere to COVID Appropriate Behaviour. COVID vaccine was also provided to eligible people.
Doctors including Dr Irm Yasmeen, Dr Farooq, Dr Arshad Mir, Dr Asif, Dr Zia, Dr Fara, Dr Sahil, Dr Sumaira Malik and others conducted medical checkup on the locals and distributed medicines free of cost.
The teams also screened patients for TB under HAR GHAR DASTAK with the goal of complete elimination of Tuberculosis. Mental Health counseling was also provided to the patients.
The local public along with PRIs thanked District Administration Rajouri and Health Department for this initiative providing high quality services at their doorsteps.
