Padma Shri Padma Sachdev GPGCW hosts Slogan Writing, Poster making competition

Jammu | : Department of Political Science, Padma Shri Padma Sachdev Government P.G College for Women, Gandhi Nagar Jammu, in collaboration with IQAC, as a part of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ organized a Slogan Writing and Poster Making Competitions on December 23 and Dec 24, 2021, respectively here under the banner ‘Know Your Constitution’.
College Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Sangita Nagari presided over the events and appreciated the creative talent of the participants. Dr. Pooja Charak, HoD Political Science & event coordinator, appreciated the efforts of participants. The activities were organized to explore and encourage creativity among students and offer them a platform to showcase their skills. The members of the organizing committee Prof. Paramjeet Singh, Dr. Harmeet Singh, Dr. Vandana Sharma, and Dr. Yawer Gulzar were also present.
Dr. Sujata Salathia, HoD Economics & Convenor Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, Prof. Mala Basin, HoD Botany & NSS Coordinator Officier, and Dr. Rupinder Kour, HoD Education were invited to evaluate the competition,. The participants were judged based on criteria like relevance to the theme, originality, impact of the message, creativity, and overall presentation.
The Slogan Writing Competition was held on the theme ‘Constitution of India’ and the participants were Rehana Kouser, Vanshika Slathia Ishika Jandiyal from the first semester, Joyleen Kour, Gunjan Rajput, Nazma Akthar, Anshu Katal, and Saerish Aalia from the third semester Vandana Devi, Meenakshi Bahu, Mavish Sharma, and Tabasum Nissar from the fifth semester.
Similarly Poster Making Competition was held on the theme ‘Making of Indian Constitution and the participants were Shaista Mughal, Vanshika Thakur, Rehana Kouser, and Vanshika Slathia, from the first semester Meliha Mushtaq, Abida Kouser, Sujagya Sharma, Tehseen Abbas Lone, Muskan Sharma, Akashdeep Kour, Akanksha Gupta, Gifty Singh, Asma Kosar, Muskaan Sharma, Ambika Chib, Joyleen Kour, Nazma Akthar, Anshu Katal, and Saerish Aalia from the third semester Vandana Devi and Tabasum Nissar from the fifth semester.
In Slogan Writing Competition, the first position was bagged by Vanshika Slathia of semester third, Joyleen Kour of semester third bagged the second position, and Nazma Akthar of semester third bagged the third position. In Poster Making Competition, the first position was bagged by Vanshika Slathia of semester first, Joyleen Kour of semester third bagged the second position, and Muskan Sharma of semester third bagged the third position.
Dr. Pooja Charak, event coordinator and organizing committee members Prof. Paramjeet Singh, Dr. Harmeet Singh, Dr. Vandana Sharma, and Dr. Yawer Gulzar congratulated the winners.
