Medical camps, plantation drive, mutation camps, awareness progs held at Ganderbal

Ganderbal | : On 5th day of the ‘Good Governance Week’ being celebrated under ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ initiative, various activities were carried out in district Ganderbal for taking good governance at the doorsteps of people and improving service delivery.
During the day, Medical and mutation camps, awareness programs, KCC camp and other activities marked the 5th day of Good Governance week in the district which witnessed overwhelming participation of the people.
Weekly KCC camp was organised at JK bank Kangan which was attended by Lead District Manager Ganderbal, Block veterinary officer Ganderbal, FLCC, Branch heads of bank branches of Kangan and Gund blocks besides a number of farmers.
During the camp awareness was created about different dairy and poultry development schemes of the department and importance of vaccination in the prevention of diseases of livestock especially FMD. Besides, KCC cases were scrutinized on spot and handed over to bank branches for sanction.
Similarly, the Office of Chief Medical Officer Ganderbal held medical camps at District Hospital and Sub District Hospital Kangan for promotion of free NCD program and free eye care under control of blindness.
Likewise, the Revenue department held Mutation camp at Manigam under the supervision of concerned Tehsildar.
To take the Poultry Sector to the next level of modernization, a special Camp was held at the NCDC sponsored Zaberwan Poultry Cooperative Society Ganderbal, where it was deliberated with the stakeholders to install a Unit for dressing and packaging of Poultry birds on modern lines. The project shall be taken up in convergence with Animal Husbandry Department under the schemes extended by the said Department.
Earlier, as a part of Good Governance week Sindh Forest Division Ganderbal organization plantation drive and distributed plants in various panchayats under Har Gaon Hariyali.
Meanwhile, the Agriculture Department and allied sectors also organized various awareness programs in Kangan Sub-Division about the services and schemes being provided by the department.
