Ang | : As part of ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ campaign, a special sanitation drive was Friday conducted by the Irrigation division and MC Mattan at Mattan.
During the drive, desilting of interior canals was carried out under the theme of River India. The event was aimed at sensitizing people towards maintaining cleanliness in our surroundings especially water bodies and to create a sense of responsibility towards sanitation. The officials of Irrigation department and MC Mattan participated in the drive with zeal and zest. The people of the area appreciated the gesture and took part in the cleaning process. Similar drives were held in MC Kokernag and MC Dooru, Verinag.
