MD, JKPCC inspects progress of ongoing works at Kupwara

Kupwara| : Managing Director, JKPCC, Rajesh Kumar Shavan today visited Kupwara district and inspected the progress on ongoing construction works there being executed by the JKPCC.
During the visit, The Managing Director inspected the works at Govt. Degree College, Handwara and Govt. Women’s Degree College, Sulkoot Kupwara.
While inspecting these works, the MD directed the concerned Project Engineer to accelerate the progress of work on Common Community Centre / Multipurpose Hall and sports works at GDC, Handwara and ensure its completion by March 2022. He further directed the Project Engineers to follow up with the concerned Project Authorities for accord of AAA for Women’s College Kupwara so that work is resumed at the earliest.
During the visit, General Manager, Kashmir apprised the MD that Common Community Centre/ Multipurpose Hall at Govt. Degree College Handwara is being constructed at sanctioned cost of Rs. 149.15 lacs besides sports infrastructure like Volleyball Court, Cricket Practice Pitch and Badminton Court is also being constructed at GDC at an estimated cost of Rs. 25.00 lacs and both projects are in final stage of completion.
He further informed the MD that at Women’s Degree College Sulkoot, Kupwara, Academic Block is roofed and the finishing work is 95% completed, Plumbing/sanitary work is 80% completed besides RCC columns of second floor are 80% completed and brick masonry of ground floor is 85% completed.
The Managing Director was accompanied by G.M (Superintending Engineer) JKPCC Kashmir, Er. Shaukat Ahmad Dar; Dy. General Manager, JKPCC Unit Kupwara, Er. Imtiaz Khaliq, Project Engineers and other concerned officials of the JKPCC.
