Good Governance Week: Grievance Redressal Camps/ Awareness progs, workshops held at Bandipora

Bandipora: Several Grievance Redressal Camps and Awareness programmes were held across the district in Bandipora in view of the ensuing Good Governance Week – as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav programme.
The Department of Animal Husbandry Bandipora organized Awareness cum Grievance Redressal Drive under Good Governance Week.
The camp witnessed good response from the Dairy/Poultry farmers, Young Aspiring Dairy Entrepreneurs and Senior citizens.
Technical guidance in setting up of Dairy and Poultry farms under Departmental schemes viz IDDS/IPDP, was given to the enthusiastic farmers and Entrepreneurs by the VASs of the Block Bandipora. An interactive session was also held wherein farmers were given opportunity to raise queries which were addressed on the spot.
Besides CAHO Bandipora, Dr G A Lone, the camp was attended by BVO Bandipora, Dr M Ramzan Chopan, TO to CAHO, PEO Bandipora and all the VASs of Block Bandipora. A similar Grievance Redressal and Awareness Camps were organised by the Agriculture Department in various blocks.
In order to commemorate the 75 years of India’s independence under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” program, Forest Division Bandipora chitternar organized a couple of plantation drives under the theme “Green J&K Drive”. One such event was organized at Govt Model Higher Secondary School Aragam in which Principal Higher Secondary School along with staff and students took part. Range officer Ajas along with field staff of Aragam block hosted the said program.
Another event was organized at Army Goodwill School in Aragam village wherein Indian Army took part. The large enthusiastic participation of teachers, students and Indian Army made the event a grand success.
Driving Licenses and Fitness Certificates were also issued in a camp organised by ARTO office Bandipora while the Department of Fire and Emergency Services Bandipora held an awareness programme regarding fire fighting measures.
Meanwhile Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Dr Owais Ahmad said the weeklong functions will continue across the district.
He said the “Good Governance week” will help in highlighting citizen centric governance and improving service delivery.
He stressed on officers to organize special camps/events at Tehsil Headquarters/Panchayat levels to sensitize people about different Government welfare schemes besides uploading and sharing the progress and achievements.
