SRINAGAR/: As a part of ongoing country wide celebrations of “Azadi Ka Amrit Mohatsav”, & under the aegis of Civic Action Programme, Range Police Headquarters, Baramulla organized a Football match at Showkat Ali Stadium Khawaja Bagh Baramulla.
On the occasion, DC Baramulla was the Chief Guest, besides DIG NKR Baramulla Shri Udayabhaskar Billa-IPS, SSP Baramulla, Principal Govt. Degree College Baramulla, Principal Govt. Degree College Sopore, Chairman Municipal Council Baramulla, and Manager Sports Council Baramulla were also present.
The football match was played between Govt. Degree College Baramulla and Govt. Degree College Sopore. During the match GDC Sopore scored 01 goal while GDC Baramulla scored 02 goals and won the match. Adnan Ashraf of GDC Baramulla was declared as Man of the Match for his outstanding performance.
While addressing the participants, DIG NKR Baramulla highlighted the role of J&K Police in providing platform to youth of the UT in channelizing and honing up their skills and advised the youth to engage themselves in physical and outdoor activities. Later, he distributed prizes and trophies to the winner and runner up teams.
At the end of the event, SSP Baramulla distributed participation certificates, cash rewards, Medals and Mementos among the participants, referees, commentator and other dignitaries.
