Jammu | : In a massive drive against bovine smuggling, Jammu Police has rescued 8 bovine animals in a vehicle during naka checking at Ban Toll Plaza naka under the jurisdiction of PS Nagrota. One vehicle bearing Registration No. JK02AD/1443 has also been seized.
In this regard, case FIR No. 466/2021 U/S 188, 34/IPC and 11PCA Act got registered at P/S Nagrota and two accused were, according to a police statement issued on Wednesday, arrested. Accused arrested have been identified as Bota Ram S/o Dewan Chand R/o RS Pura Jammu and Abdul Razak S/o Mohd Jamal R/o Pulwama Kashmir.
The arrests and recoveries were made by SHO P/S Nagrota Inspr Vishav Pratap Singh under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Parupkar Singh. Further investigation of the case is going on.
