5 different vehicles involved in illegal mining seized: Police

Jammu | : In a quest to stern the menace of illegal mining, a multi-pronged strategy was devised by Jammu Police in which police teams of PS Nagrota, PS Channi Himmat, PS Gandhinagar and PP Pargwal acted stringently on the specific inputs and raided at different locations in their respective areas and seized 5 different vehicles involved in illegal mining. Details of the vehicles seized, according to a police statement, issued here on Wednesday are as under: 1 tractor trolley without Registration No by PS Nagrota 2 tippers bearing Registration Nos JK02CN 1848 and JK02AD 0408, by PS Channi Himmat 1 tipper bearing Registration No JK02BX- 1599 by PS Gandhi Nagar 1 tractor trolley bearing Registration No JK02BJ 3066 by PP Pargwal. The overall recoveries were made by SHO P/S Nagrota Inspr Vishav Pratap Singh, SHO P/S Channi Himmat Inspr Deepak Katoch, SHO P/S Gandhinagar Inspr Pankaj Sharma and I/C PP Pargwal PSI Baljeet Singh Parihar in their respective jurisdictions.
DMO Jammu was also intimated about the same.
The mining was done in violation of order of Hon’ble High Court of J&k. In order to strictly implement the drive against illegal mining and to tighten noose against the violators of the law Jammu Police has initiated strict action.
