Stolen cash ₹15000 , gold/silver ornaments recovered at Sainik Colony Jammu: Police

Jammu | : Police on Tuesday said it has solved a theft case by recoverning casj of Rs 15000 and ornaments of both gold and silvers at Sainik Colony Jammu.
In a statement issued on Tuesday police said that inputs were received at PP Sainik Colony about the theft of Gold/Silver ornaments and cash from a residential room near Heritage school Sainik colony Jammu under the jurisdiction of PS Channi Himmat, stating therein further that a case FIR No. 196/2021 U/s 454/380 IPC got registered at PS Channi Himmat and investigation started.

Stating that special police teams of PP Sainik Colony under the supervision of SDPO City East Sajad Sarwar were constituted, police in it’s statement further said that the team led by SHO PS Channi Himmat Inspr Deepak Katoch assisted by I/C PP Sainik Colony PSI Mohd Younis khanday did strenuous efforts and with the help of CCTV footages of the area finally rounded up a suspect namely Paras Dubey S/o Lt.Om Parkash R/o Namain Katra Teh Katra Distt Reasi. Stating that during questioning, accused confessed his involvement in the above case and on his disclosure stolen gold/silver ornaments and cash Rs 15000 was recovered from his possession, police in it’s above quoted statement further said that the said accused person is a habitual thief and has previously been involved in FIR No. 21/2021 U/S 457/380 IPC PS Channi Himmat Jammu, FIR No. 99/2021 U/S 382/34 IPC Act P/S Janipur.
In the concluding para of it’s statement police said that further criminal history of the said accused person is being ascertained, adding therein further that the overall arrest and recoveries were made under the supervision of SP City South Deepak Digra and further investigation of the case is going on.
