Good Governance Week: Sumbal Tehsil to deliver 8 Rev Services online from today

B’pora | Dec, 21: In connection with the celebrations of “Good Governance Week” being held from December 20 to December 26, 2021, under Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav, Online delivery of eight revenue services commenced in Sumbal Tehsil on Tuesday.
The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr Owais Ahmad lauded the efforts of Tehsildar Sumbal, Zeeshan Tahir for implementing the basic indicator of Good Governance. The initiative of online delivery of eight revenue services has been rolled out in the Sumbal Tehsil on a trial basis.
Dr Owais said the other Tehsils shall follow the road map and all other tehsils shall be covered within a weeks’ time.
Under the initiative eight revenue services including issuance of income certificate, EWS Certificate, Marriage Certificate, OBC/RBA/ALC Certificate, SC/ST Certificate, Dependent Certificate, Legal Heir Certificate and character certificate shall be provided online from now onwards.
He said the initiative will ease the hardships of the people who had to visit offices regularly to get these certificates. He said the applicants can now apply online without physically visiting the office.
The DC said the initiative was launched as part of “Good Governance Week” as it provides us an opportunity to march rapidly to create a transparent and efficient Public Delivery System and to further improve governance.
He emphasized upon all district officers to set examples for other people by focusing on what good can be done for the welfare and benefit of people. He stressed the need for abiding by broader guidelines laid under the initiative of Good Governance.
