Rajouri | : Administration Rajouri Tuesday oragnsied a series of events in connection with the Good Governance Week campaign to facilitate prompt and efficient public grievances disposal and improved services delivery to people.
Deputy Commissioner, Vikas Kundal participated in a mega awareness cum grievance redressal camp at Manjakote.
Among the others, ADDC, Pawan Kumar; BDC Chairperson Manjakote, Shamshad Begum; ACD, Sushil Khajuria; DSEO, Bilal Rashid Mir; Tehsildar, Mohd Javed besides other concerned officers and PRIs and public in large numbers attended the event
Addressing the gathering, the Deputy Commissioner said that the Good Governance Week campaign has provided officers an opportunity to march rapidly to create a transparent and efficient Public Delivery System and to further improve governance.
He said that the sole objective of the campaign is to promote prompt service delivery and grievance redress at people’s doorstep.
The DC directed the offices to put in extra efforts to ensure that all the genuine concerns of the public are redressed during the week besides providing maximum government services to them at their doorsteps.
He also appealed to the public to ensure their maximum participation in the camps being organised in their areas as a part of the Good Governance Week and avail necessary benefits under various schemes and programs meant for their welfare.
The Deputy Commissioner also handed over domicile certificates, Golden cards and other certificates among the beneficiaries during the camp.
Pertinently, as a part of weeklong celebrations, a series of activities have been planned by the District Administration with the motto of redressing the pending genuine public concerns and also to improve service delivery down to village level.
On the second day of the Good Governance Week, special camps were organised by different Departments across the district to provide necessary benefits to the general public under various schemes and massive public participation was observed in these camps.
Revenue documents, character certificates, issuance of ration cards, registration of vehicles, learners licence,, SEHAT cards, free medical checkups, COVID vaccination & testing, AYUSH medical camps and distribution of medicines, registration of hotels, guest houses, registration of BOC workers, maternity benefits etc are among the services being provided to the public at their doorsteps.
Some more services provided on the occasion include hands on training about trout culture, aadhar seeding, livestock checking, birth and death certificates, updation and display of citizen charter, redressal of pending public grievances received through state portal and offline, medical illness certificate, medical fitness certificate, TB screening etc.
Other services include E Sharm registration, registration under Mission Youth, issuance of contractor cards, registration of weavers, sponsoring KCC cases etc were provided to the beneficiaries during the 2nd day.
The officers and the field functionaries are also educating the public about various schemes and programs being implemented by their Departments in the district and are motivating them to avail the benefits of the same.
This innovative initiative of the Government to benefit the common people is receiving huge appreciation from the general public who have appealed for continuing such programs to mitigate their sufferings and meet their developmental aspirations.
