GDC Ramban hosts First Intra-College Badminton Rolling Trophy

Ramban | : Department of Sports and Physical Education of Government Degree College Ramban organized First Intra-College Badminton Rolling Trophy both in men and women category at college Campus.
The tournament was inaugurated by the Principal of the college Dr. Mohsin Bashir Dar, in the presence of all students, teaching and non teaching staff of the College.
As many as 70 male and female students participated in the event. Ameesha Devi and Karnail Singh clinched First Intra-College Badminton Rolling Trophy title in women and men category, respectively.
Physical Director of the College, Ramandeep Kralia, took this initiative for the students of the college. Later chief guest Dr. Mohsin Bashir Dar, along with Dr. Bharat Singh, Prof. Kamaljeet Singh, Dr. Vikram Rathore, Dr. Vinod Kumar, Prof. Samir Ahmad & Dr. Sajad Ahmad Ganai distributed trophies among the winner and runner up players. Consolation prizes & certificates were also distributed among all participants.
In his address, the Principal of the College applauded the effort of the Sports Committee of the College for holding the event. He also appreciated the students for their participation in the event result of the tournament.
In the final match Karnal Singh beat Danish Afzal by (2-0) and in the women’s section, Ameesha Devi beat Tehzeeb Ara by (2-0). The matches were officiated by Haseeb and Vishal Sharma.
The proceedings of the program were conducted by Prof. Vijay Kumar, HOD Urdu, while the vote of thanks was presented by Prof. Vickey Rattan, Head of Hindi Department.
