DC Ramban hands over driving licences to pass out trainees; deptts resolve public issues on-spot

Ramban | : On the second day of Good Governance Week, District Administration, Ramban took several initiatives to resolve public grievances on a real-time basis besides promoting online services launched by the various departments for the conveniences of the general public.
Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, Mussarat Islam visited several venues of programmes conducted under GGW by the different departments. The DC also handed-over driving licences to the applicants who qualified in the driving test conducted by the Motor Vehicle Department, on the spot.
DSEO, Ganesh Kumar and ARTO, Shafqat Majid were also present on the occasion.
The DC also advised the youth to avoid rash driving and follow road safety rules to prevent accidents.
On the day 2, loans for the self employment cases, sponsored by the KVIB and NULM, were also disbursed by the State Bank of India. The loans were provided to applicants for establishing business units of different nature like Steel Fabrication, Tea stall and other shops.
The Sheep Husbandry Department resolved 6 grievances on-spot during Public Grievances redressal camp at village Digdole. The department also sensitised near 25 Sheep breeders about online and offline services available for them.
Meanwhile, the Revenue and Forest Department jointly addressed grievances of the public of Panchayat Thopal on Batote Chakwa road regarding land compensation issues and construction of the remaining stretch of the road.
Similarly, DIC Ramban organised an awareness camp at Tatarsoo to facilitate youth in applying for various self-employment schemes being run by DIC, Handloom and Handicraft Deportment. The Labour Department also conducted on spot registration of eligible persons under the e-shram scheme.
The Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department conducted Re-verification/Updation of Ration cards and redressed several Public Grievances at Ramsoo and Banihal.
