Mega Public grievance redressal camp under ‘Good Governance week’ held at Ganderbal

Ganderbal: In connection with the celebration of Good Governance week and redressal of public grievances besides improving service delivery titled “Prashasan Gaon Ki Aur” under the banner of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, a mega event was Monday organized by the district administration Ganderbal at Conference Hall of Mini Secretariat, here.
The program was presided over by the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Farooq Ahmad Baba, DDC member Ganderbal, PRIs of Block Ganderbal besides all district officers participated in the event.
During the event several issues besides pending public grievances on JKIGRAMS and offline complaints were discussed thoroughly and concerned officers assured redressal of pending grievances in a time bound manner.
Speaking on the occasion, the ADC highlighted the purpose of celebrating Good Governance week and said that district administration has chalked out detailed plans of the activities to be held during celebration of Good Governance week from 20 to 25th December 2021, in the district.
He said under Good Governance week, special camps/events at Block headquarters would be organized to redress public grievances and improve service delivery mechanisms so that people are benefited at grass roots level.
On the occasion, PRIs raised several issues of public importance ranging from improvement in power and water supply, repairing of damaged roads, and other issues pertaining to their areas.
The departments including Revenue, RDD, Heath, Geology and Mining, Pollution Control Board, Banks, Municipal Council Ganderbal, R&B, Labour, Jal Shakti, FCS&CA, Tourism, DSWD, Fisheries and Police shall hold special activities during Good Governance week for disposal of pending grievances, mass awareness among people about Citizen Centric Schemes, enrolment drives etc.
The officers are instructed to adopt Good Governance practices while redressing the public grievances so that common people do not face any inconvenience while availing benefits of government sponsored welfare schemes.
