Addressing the gathering, the DC said that “Good Governance Week” provides us an opportunity to march rapidly to create a transparent and efficient Public Delivery System and to further improve governance.
He called upon all District Offices to document at least one model good governance practice of the district and one successfully redressed Public Grievance case and upload on the portal for inspiration of other fellows.
With regard to the initiatives taken in the education system, the DC said a lot has changed in the period of last two years (since the first COVID-19 outbreak) during which so many industries have shifted online for the sake of safe and remote working and the education sector is no exception. He emphasized upon all district officers to set examples for other people by focusing on what good can be done for the welfare and benefit of people.
Chief Planning Officer Srinagar also spoke on the occasion and stressed the need for abiding by broader guidelines laid under the initiative of Good Governance.
Earlier, Chief Education Officer Srinagar welcomed the participants and highlighted the achievements of the School Education Department.
He said the Step Up Learning app is being launched shortly in the district which is an online platform for managing data associated with its tutoring classes in the most efficient and transparent manner. It is a user-friendly app with amazing features like online attendance, fees management, homework submission, detailed performance reports and much more- a perfect on- the- go solution for parents to know about their wards’ class details.
During the programme various mesmerizing cultural programs were also presented by the artists and school students.
