Pulwama| : Police on Monday said that it has arrested two militant associates linked with Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) militant outfit and also recovered incriminating materials including ammunition from their possession.
In a statement issued on Monday police said that acting on specific inputs Pulwama police along with 55RR and 182BN CRPF apprehended two militant associates linked with Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) militant outfit identified as Umer Ramzan son of Mohd Ramzan Wani resident of Brabandina and Javid Ah Mala son of Ali Mohd resident of Khelan, adding therein that incriminating materials including ammunition were recovered from their possession.
Stating that during the preliminary investigation it was revealed that both the arrested militant associates were in touch with JeM commanders & were involved in transportation of arms & ammunition, police in it’s statement further said that the said militant associates were providing shelter and other logistic support to the active militants operating in Awantipora & Tral areas.
In the concluding para of it’s above quoted statement police said that a case under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Litter and further investigation has been taken up
