Baramulla | : With an aim of providing smooth electricity to people more especially in winters, the District Development Commissioner (DDC) Baramulla, Bhupinder Kumar Monday paid visit to Amargarah Power Grid Station where he inspected the ongoing work pace which is under augmentation process from 92.5 MVA to 127 MVA.
The DDC while inspecting the work was briefed that the project is being carried out at an estimated cost of Rs. 7 Crore. He was also appraised that the work pace on the project has been accelerated and the executing agency has assured that the project will be completed soon.
Pertinently, the capacity of the station is being improved from 92.5 MVA to 130 MVA, thereby providing much needed relief to the residents from the unscheduled power cuts, which has been haunting them for the past several years.
On the occasion, the DDC also stressed upon the concerned agencies to expedite the pace of work besides laid specific emphasis on departments to work in close coordination and synergy to remove all bottlenecks and impediments in a time bound manner so that the project execution is not affected in any way.
