Udhampur | : Chief Agriculture Officer, Sanjay Anand Monday handed over Maize Sheller and Paddy thresher to PRIs of zone Mansar.
The farm machinery was provided under CAPEX budget 2021-22. Sub Divisional Agricultural Officer Udhampur, Rajesh Gandotra, Agricultural Extension Officer Mansar, Verinder Mohan and staff of Zone Mansar were also present.
The maize sheller was handed over to Sarpanch Pathi, Mangat Ram, and Sarpanch Dabrah, Yash pal Sharma, while Paddy thresher was given to Sarpanch Mali, Makhana Devi.
The PRI of the Panchayat Dabreh and Mali appreciated the efforts of the Agriculture Department for spreading awareness among the farmers about the new techniques and knowhow of modern farming. They said that with the use of modern machinery in agriculture yield will increase which in turn will boost farmers’ economy.
