DC Rajouri takes stock of COVID19 mitigation measures

Rajouri | : Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal Saturday chaired a meeting to review the steps taken for effective containment and management of COVID19 in the district.
The meeting was attended by ADDC, Pawan Kumar; ACR, Tahir Mustafa Malik; DSEO, Bilal Rashid Mir; CMO, Dr Shamim Un Nissa Bhatti; Dy CMO, Dr Anees Altaf Nabi; MS DH, Mehmood besides other concerned officers.
Detailed discussion was held on COVID vaccination, testing, enforcement of CAB, aggressive testing and tracing of the international travellers, registration under PM-JAY etc.
Reviewing the status of vaccination of the targeted groups, the DC directed the concerned authorities to mobilise men and machinery to ensure that no age appropriate person is left out without vaccination. He also asked to ensure that the beneficiaries receive both the jabs timely.
Stressing on strict enforcement of the COVID safety protocols, he asked the concerned authorities to impose fines on the violators and also educate the masses about COVID appropriate behaviour as this is the only and best tool to stay safe.
Taking serious note of the opening of some private schools for the students below class 10th in violation of government order, the DC asked the Chief Education Officer to take strict action against the violators.
Taking stock of COVID testing, he asked the Health Authorities to scale up the testing and ensure that all the international travellers are tested for COVID before they enter the district.
While reviewing the progress made under registration of the beneficiaries under the SEHAT scheme, the DC asked the concerned officers to put in added efforts to achieve universal coverage.
