Chairman JK SSB chairs 194th board meeting in Jammu

Jammu |: Chairman, Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (J&K SSB), Jahangir Khalid, Saturday chaired 194th Board meeting.
The meeting was held to consider various issues including selection lists with respect to various posts for different departments, withheld recommendation cases under UT Cadre, Jammu/Kashmir division and district cadre besides cancellation of candidature of candidates.
During the meeting, various agenda items including release of withheld recommendations of District Cadre, Divisional Cadre Jammu, Divisional Cadre, Kashmir, UT Cadre and PM Package (Migrants) and in respect of which deficiencies and shortcomings were completed by the candidates, were taken up for consideration.
After threadbare discussion, the Board decided to release recommendations in favour of 30 candidates in various disciplines. It was also decided to re-examine/defer 11 number of cases, while candidature of 3 candidates have been cancelled and 5 candidates have been declared “Not Eligible” after thorough discussion.
The Board also approved selection lists of 8 candidates in various subjects and 72 posts, which were pending since long time were returned to the concerned Indenting Department, due to various deficiencies/non-availability of eligible candidates. Further, one court case of urgent nature was also discussed in the meeting in which appropriate decision for its proper disposal was taken.
The meeting was attended by Mohammad Shafiq Chak, Nazir Ahmad Khwaja, Pritam Lal Atri, Harvinder Kour, Ashiq Hussain Lily, Neelam Khajuria and Narayan Dutt Members of the J&K Services Selection Board; Ashok Kumar, Controller of Examination, Sachin Jamwal, Secretary, J&K Services Selection Board, Suhail Muzaffar, Additional Secretary Law, Vinay Khosla, Deputy Secretary, Hilal Ahmed Mir, Under Secretary, Mamta Rajput, Administrative officer, Kashif Altaf Bhat Under Secretary and other officers of J&K SSB also participated in the meeting.
