Jammu | : Police on Saturday said that it has seized five different vehicles involved in illegal in Jammu city.
In a statement issued on Saturday police said that in a quest to stern the menace of illegal mining, a multi-pronged strategy was devised by Jammu Police in which police teams of PS Nagrota, PS Peermitha, PP Sidhra and PP Nehru Market acted stringently on the specific inputs and raided at different locations in their respective areas and seized five different vehicles involved in illegal mining. Details of the vehicles seized, according to the statement, are as under:
1 tractor without Registration No by PS Nagrota. 1 tipper without Registration No JK02BK 7680 by PS Peermitha. 2 vehicles i.e 1 tractor trolley bearing Registration No JK02AX 1919 and 1 dumper bearing Registration No JK14C 9108 by PP Sidhra. 1 tipper bearing Registration No JK02CU5863, by PP Nehru Market.
Stating that overall recoveries were made by SHO P/S Nagrota Inspr Vishav Pratap Singh, SHO P/S Peermitha Inspr Zaheer Mushtaq, I/C PP Sidhra SI Shakil Ahmed and I/C PP Nehru Market SI Rohit Gandhi in their respective jurisdictions, police in it’s statement further said that DMO Jammu was also intimated about the same.
In the concluding para of it’s statement police said that the mining was done in violation of order of J&K High Court, stating therein further that in order to strictly implement the drive against illegal mining and tighten noose against the violators of the law Jammu Police has initiated strict action.
