Jammu | : Police on Saturday said that it has recovered 237 psychotropic capsules and also arrested one accused at Pacca Danga in Jammu.
In a statement issued on Saturday police said that dedicated police team of PS Pacca Danga led by SHO P/S Pacca Danga Inspr Raghubir Singh while on naka duty at Rehari Chungi area rounded up a suspect namely Gourav S/O Puran Chand R/O Chinore near Govt. Primary school Chinore, stating therein further that on search of his belongings, 237 psychotropic capsules of SPASMO-PROXYVON T +25 Mg were recovered from him.
“ A case FIR No 214/2021 under section 8/21/22 NDPS Act stands registered at PS Pacca Danga and accused was arrested”, reads the police statement, adding that
“Intensive questioning is going on to know about his other accomplices in the crime”
In the concluding para of the above referred statement police said that the overall arrest and recoveries were made under the supervision of SDPO North Sharad Kalu and further investigation of the case is going on.Stating that Jammu Police is striving hard and taking every possible step to make people especially youth aware to eradicate drug menace, police in it’s statement appealed people of the area to come forward and share information about drug peddling or consumption on 9086100100 or 100 with Police for the cause , assuring them that identity will be kept confidential.
