DC Ramban reviews winter preparedness of JPDCL

Ramban | : Deputy Commissioner Ramban Mussarat Islam Friday chaired a meeting of functionaries of Jammu Power Development Corporation Ltd(JPDCL) to review the progress in the execution of various Centrally Sponsored Schemes meant for augmentation of Power infrastructure in the district.
CPO, Kasturi Lal; Executive Engineers of JPDCL, STD, TLMD, Power Grid and other concerned officers attended the meeting.
It was informed that electric poles and transformers have been installed as per requirement under various schemes of rural electrification viz DDUGY, PMDP (rural), RGGVY and other schemes to strengthen the power infrastructure in the district.
While reviewing the progress of urban electrification under IPDS, PMDP (urban), the DC directed the concerned executing agency to complete installation of all transformers and other works taken-up under these schemes.
The DC directed the executing agencies and site engineers of both the construction companies to ensure the completion of all the schemes as per the timelines fixed under each component so that the shortage of power supply shall be mitigated for the region.
The DC also reviewed the winter preparedness made by the JPDCL, TLMD, STD and Power Grid Corporation of India to ensure uninterrupted power supply especially to far-flung areas of the district.
