Jammu | : Additional Deputy Commissioner (Adm) Jammu, Satish Kumar Sharma Friday reviewed the registration of unorganised workers in the district under National Database for Unorganized Workers (NDUW) on e-SHRAM portal.
Threadbare discussions were held on the present status and progress of registration process. Officers from RDD, Labour, Handloom, Handicraft, Agriculture, NRLM and other departments were also present.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner stressed on the concerned Officers to identify low performing blocks in the district. He directed them to expedite the process of registrations to complete the process by 31st December, 2021.
The ADC said that the e-Shram portal has been launched by the Government with the objective of facilitating better implementation of various social security schemes for all unorganized sector workers. He said that the registration of unorganized workers will help in delivering various social security schemes being implemented by the Government.
Among others, Assistant Labour Commissioner ALC, Jammu, Devia Nanda; ARTO Jammu, Chief Agriculture Officer, Assistant Director Handloom, District manager, CSC, DPO were present at the meeting.
