GDC Ukhral hosts Counselling session on Career opportunities in Indian Army

Jammu | : Under the flagship programme of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, Government Degree College Ukhral, in collaboration with RR 12 Company of Ukhral organised a career counselling programme.
The programme was organised with a view to provide a roadmap to the students of the area to serve in the Indian Army.
While commencing the programme, the Principal of the College, Prof. (Dr.) Ranvijay Singh, gave an enthusiastic sermon on individual’s responsibilities towards the nation and mother earth.
Major Neeraj Khajuria of RR12 posted at Ukhral talked at length about the new possibilities and opportunities for serving in the Indian Army. He talked about many examinations being conducted by the National Defence Academy at various stages during each year.
Prof. Zakir Hussain convener Career Counselling Cell, in his talk and presentation urged the students to work with zeal and zest in order to avail the opportunities of services in Indian Army.
Faculty members Dr. Shafiq Ahmed Katoch, Prof. Iftikhar Hussain (HOD English),Dr. Altaf Rasool (HOD Education) also spoke at the event. The programme was moderated by Prof. Rafia Bano (HOD Sociology). The programme was conducted by the Career Counselling Cell of the host institute.
