DLRC/DCC meeting held at Shopian

Shopian |: The District Development Commissioner, Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishya Thursday Chaired District Level Review Committee (DLRC) and District Consultative Committee (DCC) meeting to convened to review the performance of Banks and line departments for the 2nd quarter of the financial year 2021-22 ended 30th September 2021 here at Mini Secretariat Arhama Shopian.
During the meeting threadbare discussion was held on progress and achievements made by the banks in the implementation of various government sponsored schemes.
DDC emphasized upon the banks to increase the lending in agriculture and allied activities to generate employment in the district and also exhorted upon them to work in synergy with the departments and conduct camps to spread awareness among the people about various banking schemes to increase the credit plan flow in various sectors.
DDC urged upon the all participants to ensure timely sponsorship and early credit dispensation of cases during the current financial year to achieve all the set targets leading to generation of self-employment opportunities in the district.
The DDC underscored the need for a greater coordination between banks and line departments besides directed the concerned to cover the beneficiaries under various social security schemes and ensure cent percent coverage of all form operating families under various scheme.
LDM, while initiating the proceedings of the meeting apprised the forum about the progress achieved and said that against the financial target of Rs.1736.63 Crores and physical targets of 31385 beneficiaries under DCP 2021- 22, the banks have disbursed Rs.731.26 Crores to 20526 beneficiaries during the 2nd quarter of financial year, thereby achieving the financial targets by 42% & physical targets by 65%.With regard to the District Credit Plan, J&K Bank’s achievement during the 2nd quarter of dfinancial year is 48.44 % in financial terms and 78.55% in physical terms viz-a-viz targets.
It is pertinent to mention here that the contribution of J&K Bank towards the achievements in the DCP for financial year 2021-22, as on 30th September 2021 is 86%.The bank has disbursed Rs. 629.02 Crores out of the total disbursement of Rs.731.26 Crores by all banks operating in the district during the financial year 2020-21.
The meeting discussed in detail the progress and achievements made by the banks in the implementation of various government sponosored schemes like KCC, MUDRA, credit cards, PM KISAN, PMEGP, PMJDY, PMSBY, PMJJBY, APY, beside loans provided banks under direct lending mode and digitization was also discussed.
NABARD’s Potential Linked Book was also reased on the occasion.
The meeting was attended by LDM Shopian, Gh Rasool Dar, ADM, NABARD, Cluster Head J&K Bank, district coordinators and other concerned officers of various departments.
