Budgam : Police on Wednesday said that it has solved a burglary case in Budgam and alsi arrested two burglars besides recovering stolen property worth more than one lac.
In a statement issued on Wednesday police said that Police Station Magam on 10th November this year received a complaint from one person namely Mukhtar Ahmad Mir son of Adul Aziz Mir resident of Hyderpora wherein it was that during the intervening night of 6th and 7th November this year some unknown burglars broke open his shop and looted cigarettes worth more than one lakh rupees.
Stating that a case FIR number 242/2021 under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Magam and investigation was subsequently started, police in it’s statement further said that during the course of investigation, an accused person previously involved in other theft case namely Muzaffar Ahmad Dar son of Ghulam Mohammad Dar resident of Hanjiwera Pattan was rounded up & called for questioning. Diclosing that during questioning the said accused confessed the crime and disclosed the role of another accused person identified as Ibrahim Hajam son of Mohammad Qasim Hajam resident of Nehar Colony Mirgund pattan, police in it’s statement furthermore said that stolen property worth more than Rs 1 lakh was recovered and both the accused persons were arrested and shifted to police station where they remain in custody, stating therein further that the investigation of the case is going on.
In the concluding para of the above referred statement Police warned of strict action against those individuals found involved in any kind of criminal activity.
