Jammu | : Police on Thursday said that it has seized three different vehicles involved in illegal mining in Jammu district.
In a statement issued on Thursday police said that in a quest to stern the menace of illegal mining, a multi-pronged strategy was devised by Jammu Police in which police teams of PP Talab Tillo and PP Phallain Mandal acted stringently on the specific inputs and raided at different locations in their respective areas and seized 3 different vehicles involved in illegal mining.
Details of the vehicles seized, according to the above referred police statement are as under:
Two vehicles i.e, one tractor trolley bearing Registration No JKO2AN 5194 and one without Registration No by PP Talab Tillo, one tractor trolley without Registration No by PP Phallain Mandal
Stating that the overall recoveries were made by I/C PP Talab Tillo PSI Rajesh Kumar and I/C PP Phallain Mandal PSI Ajesh Singh Jamwal in their respective jurisdictions, police in it’s statement further said that DMO Jammu was also intimated about the same.
In the concluding para of the above quoted statement police said that the mining was done in violation of the orders of J&K High Court, stating therein further that in order to strictly implement the drive against illegal mining and to tighten noose against the violators of the law Jammu Police has initiated strict action.
