Poonch: A wanted Pakistani militant has been killed by the security forces in the ongoing encounter near Bufliyaz in Surankote area of Poonch district on Tuesday.
Officials said that the slain militant has been identified as Abu Zarara who is reportedly affiliated with Lashkar-e-Taiba and was considered as a wanted militant by the security forces.
They said that the slain militant was operating in Rajouri and Poonch districts. “The area where encounter is going on is dense forest cover area and more reinforcement have been rushed to tighten the cordon as there is a possibility of presence of one more militant in the area,” the officials said, adding from the slain militant one AK 47 rifle, 4 magazines, one grenade, biscuit packets and some Indian currency was recovered
