DC Kupwara visits home of slain constable Fayaz Lone, expresses condolences

Kupwara | : Deputy Commissioner (DC)Kupwara, Imam Din Tuesday visited the home of slain constable Fayaz Ahmad Lone at Lalpora Lolab who was killed in a recent militant attack in Bandipora district. The DC was accompanied by SDM Sogam, Aijaz Ahmad Bhat, Tehsildar Lalpora, Executive Engineer R&B and other concerned officers.
On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner expressed his deep sorrow over the loss of precious life. He expressed condolences with the bereaved family and prayed for the eternal peace of the deceased constable. Later the Deputy Commissioner visited various places in Lolab valley and inspected several Government offices and ongoing developmental works.
During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner inspected the functioning of Government Degree College Sogam and Tehsil Office Lalpora. At Degree College, the DC inspected the Administrative block, Earth Science block, library and other sections of the college.
The Deputy Commissioner also inspected the ongoing construction of Tanch Mohallah to Dar Mohallah road in Gagal village of Wavoora block. He directed the concerned engineer to maintain the quality standard of the works and ensure its timely completion.
