Jammu : Additional Deputy Commissioner (L&O) Jammu, Ghansham Singh today chaired a meeting of district administration and representatives of Christian Community here at DC office to discuss arrangements for the Christmas Festival.

ACG, Rakesh Dubey; President, Joint Churches J&K, Rev. Showkat Peter; President All India Masih Seva Dal, Camres David; President J&K Christian Association, Waris Gill;  representatives of Churches Robin Bhatti, Johnson Gill, Nasir Masih, Raju Masih, Stoniour and others were also spoke on the occasion.

The Additional Deputy Commissioner stressed upon the concerned officers to extend all necessary facilities to the devotees including un-interrupted power and clean drinking water supply, sanitation, medical facilities and other basic amenities.

The Additional Deputy Commissioner asked the Traffic Department to deploy adequate personnel to regulate the traffic system during Christmas.

He also asked the Municipal Corporation Jammu to ensure sanitation in and around the Churches.

The ADC also asked the health authorities for deployment of doctors and para medical staff to facilitate the devotees. He stressed upon the maintaining synergy among line departments for ensuring adequate arrangements for the smooth celebration of Christmas festival.

The ADC stressed on senior officers and religious representatives to follow proper guidelines and SOPs of Covid-19 issued by health experts from time to time while celebrating the festival.

Among others, SE, R&B, K S Nathyal; SSP Security, S S Kotwal; Dy SP, Traffic North, Shivani Kotwal; DHO Jammu, B L Choudhary; Deputy Director, FCS&CA, Dr Javed Iqbal; Deputy Director, Fire & Emergency, G L Pandita; Deputy Director Information PR, Jammu, Gul Hassan, Health Officer, Dr Sanyogita Soodan, Exens, besides other officers and officials of allied departments were also present in the meeting.
