Srinagar | : Director General, J&K Institute of Management, Public Administration and Rural Development (J&K IMPARD), Saurabh Bhagat Saturday presided over the valedictory function of two monthsโ Secretariat Assistants Training Course (SATC) here Saturday.
While congratulating the participants for completion of training course, Director General said that there is well defined career advancement policy in J&K Government for the timely promotion of Senior and Junior Assistants to higher positions. He remarked that the purpose of SATC is manifold as it prepares frontline functionaries like Senior Assistants and Junior Assistants to perform their duties effectively.
Saurabh Bhagat also said that the SATC is a highly significant and efficiency development training course for frontline functionaries. He added that through this Course the participants are taught office Rules and Regulations covered under subjects like J&K Civil Service Regulations (CSR); Budget Manual; General Financial Rules(GFR)-2017; Employees Conduct Rules; Classification, Control, & Appeal Rules; Manual of Secretariat Procedure; Office Ethics; etc.
The Director General also highlighted to the participants that this training Course will additionally equip them better to face Departmental Examination with confidence and thereby help them qualify the Departmental Examination easily and make them eligible for promotion.
The Director General also informed the participants that one of the important purposes of this Training Course is to allow them time to interact with one another in an education friendly atmosphere at J&K IMPARD.
He added that IMPARD has also been assigned the task of carrying out training of 5000 officers in RTI so that the overall governance system is improved for the benefit of common man.
The Director General on the occasion also thanked the Chief Secretary, Dr. Arun Kumar Mehta for extending constant support to IMPARD.
During the valedictory session, the Director General also distributed certificates the trainee participants.
Pertinently, the SATC started on 11th October this year and was attended by 560 participants from various departments of J&K Government.
