DGP visits Sopore, Kupwara to show solidarity with the bereaved families of slain cops

Jammu : Director General Police Dilbag Singh Saturday visited the families of slain Police Sg Constable Mohd Sultan & Constable Fayaz Ahmad killed on 10th of December 2021 in a militant attack at Gulshan Chowk in Bandipora Town of North Kashmir.
DGP was accompanied by IGP Kashmir Zone Vijay Kumar, DIG North Kashmir Range Udaybhaskar Billa, SSP Bandipora Mohd Zaid, SP Sopore Sudanshu Verma CO 22 RR Sunil Yadav and other jurisdictional officers of PD Sopore. The DGP first visited family of slain SG Constable Mohd Sultan at Maqam Shaheedmeer Botingue Sopore and expressed solidarity with the bereaved family and prayed for the eternal peace of the fallen hero who gave supreme sacrifice of his life while on duty. While interacting with the family of the slain cop he said that the whole Police Pariwar stands with the bereaved family of the slain cop and shares their grief and sorrow. He assured that every support would be provided to the family.
Interacting with the media the DGP Said police has got some clues with regard to the attack and it is working to identify the involved militants. He said that there have been recent incursions by Pakistan in some places in which some Pakistani militants have infiltrated to this side. He said that the militants are on our radar and you have seen that some of them have been killed in the operations and I hope that Pakistani militants who have recently infiltrated will be neutralized soon as the operations are on against them. He said that main motive of the Pakistani sponsored militants is to kill someone and harm the lives of people and their property.
The DGP said that Police along with other security agencies work for the security and safety of people so the police come to the target. We have been fighting this war from last 30 years and it is our responsibility to protect the lives and property of people. In the afternoon, the DGP along with IGP Kashmir Zone Vijay Kumar, DIG North Kashmir Range Udaybhaskar Billa, and SSP Kupwara Yogal Manhas visited family of slain Constable Fayaz Ahmad Lone of Lalpora Lolab Kupwara who was also killed in the attack at Gulshan Chowk Bandipora. He expressed solidarity with the bereaved family and prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul who gave supreme sacrifices of his life while his boots on. A large number of people from different walks including the relatives from the nearby villages had come to condole the deaths of SgCt. Mohd Sultan and Ct. Fyaz Ahmad and express their sympathies with the bereaved families. Some respectable of the respective villages and youth also met the DGP and praised the deceased constables for their people friendly behavior to everyone. At both the places the people requested the DGP to provide help to the families as the slain constables were only earning hands in their families. The DGP assured them that JKP Pariwar would be there to shoulder this responsibility and all required support shall be extended to them.
