DC Ramban inaugurates road side toilet facility on Kashmir highway

Ramban | Dec, 10: Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, Mussarat Islam Friday inaugurated a Toilet Complex, constructed by the National Highway Authority of India at Karol.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Harbans Lal Sharma, Officers of NHAI, Sarpanch Kirti Lata and several other officers and public representatives were also present on the occasion.
Pertinent to mention here that, NHAI has developed roadside facilities like Toilet Complex, truck and car parking areas alongside NH-44 as part of Four Laning project.
Meanwhile, the DC also inspected ongoing work of truck and car parking yards and directed NHAI to complete the work as per the directions issued by the Chief Secretary of Jammu and Kashmir for the convenience of commuters and truck drivers.
It was informed that these truck holding areas and other roadside facilities will play a pivotal role in case of traffic breakdown, accidents, traffic Jamming and closure of roads.
