Boys athletic meet witnesses record participation in Ramban

Ramban : The District level Inter-School Boys Athletic Meet -2021-22 for All Age Group commenced Thursday here at Higher Secondary School Ramban. The Athletic meet has been organized by the Department of Youth Services & Sports Ramban under the patronage of the Director Youth Services & Sports J&K, Gazanffer Ali.
A good number of students from Government and Private Schools participated in the event. Principal Government HSS Ramban, Ranjay Kumar was the Chief Guest in the opening ceremony.
While interacting with the participants, the Principal encouraged the students to take part in such events regularly to hone their skills. He highlighted the importance of sports for their overall personality development.
In Long Jump, under 14 age group Ubaid Ahmed of Banihal, Faizan Amin of Ramban & Shahid Abass of Banihal clinched Gold, Silver & Bronze medals respectively and in under 17 age group Johangir and Akib Ashraf of Banihal clinched Gold, & Silver medals respectively. Similarly Usman Altaf and Mohd Aqib Mir of Banihal clinched Gold & Silver medals respectively in the under 19 age group.
In Short Put under 14 age group Usman Altaf, Mohd Amir and Faizan Amin of Banihal clinched Gold, Silver and Bronze medals respectively and under 17 age group Chander Singh of Khari, Inderjeet Singh of Ramban and Shahid Shafi of Gool clinched Gold, Silver & Bronze Medals respectively while Bilal Ahmed of Batote , Yasir Ahmed of Ukhral and Arbazz Iqbal of Ramban clinched Gold, Silver and bronze medals respectively in under 19 age group.
In High Jump competitions under 14 age group Faisal Amin of Ramban and Mudassir Ahmed of Khari bagged Gold & Silver medals respectively and under 17 age group Mudassir Ahmed of Khari, Aryan Ahmed of Ramban and Abid Reyaz of Banihal bagged Gold and Silver Medals respectively.
The sporting events are being conducted by a panel of officers and officials including ZPEOs, PEMs, PETs and other officials of the Department of Youth Services and Sports under the supervision of Dharam Vir Singh District Youth Services and Sports Officer Ramban.
