Weekly Block Diwas : DC Kishtwar listens to people’s grievances at far flung Dachhan area

Kishtwar:  To redress the grievances of people at their door step, weekly Block Diwas programmes were Wednesday conducted at various places of district Kishtwar.
In one such programme, a mega grievance redressal camp was organised here at Soundar Dachhan under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Ashok Sharma and in presence of district and sectoral officers.
SDM Marwah, Dr. Mohsin Raza; CAO Kishtwar S K Bhagat; DSWO Kishtwar Tariq Parveaz Qazi; DAHO Dr. Mayan-ud-Din; ALC Kishtwar Amit Kumar, Tehsildar Dachhan besides Local PRIs, prominent persons were present at the camp.
During the programme a number of demands were raised by the delegations led by local PRIs.
The demands mainly includes the up-gradation of Infrastructure, employment in local HEP projects, compensation of Land acquired for the various roads etc.
They people also demanded for 3 day a week Helicopter services for Dachhan during winter season.
After giving patient hearing, the Deputy Commissioner assured them that their genuine demands/grievances will be redressed in a time bound manner, besides a number of grievances were resolved on the spot by passing necessary directions to the concerned district officers, while the rest of the issues were documented for forwarding to the concerned for necessary action.
The Deputy Commissioner urged PRIs to spread mass awareness about “AAP KI ZAMEEN AAP KI NIGRANI”- the online digital platform containing digitized revenue records. He said the platform ensures easy access to land records to every citizen, which will save both their time and energy in getting their crucial revenue documents.
He further urged the PRIs to spread awareness among the unorganised workers including the household women and farm workers to register with the e-Shram portal to avail the various social security schemes.
The Deputy Commissioner further apprised the youth about various Self Employment schemes/initiatives started by Govt and urged them to come forward and avail these initiatives.
Besides, he appealed to the PRIs to motivate people to continue to use face masks, maintain social distance and follow the COVID-19 Appropriate Behaviour and take 2nd dose. He further advised people to register themselves for securing the Golden card to avail health insurance cover under SEHAT scheme .
Meanwhile, the newly appointed Panchayat Account Assistants were also felicitated under Yogyata se Rozgar Mahotsav. The DC congratulated them for being a part and product of the transparent recruitment process carried out by J&K Govt recently.
Similar Block Diwas Programmes were also held at other blocks and tehsils of the district.
