DLSA Kishtwar organises mega awareness Prog on “Empowerment of Women”

Kishtwar : District Legal Services Authority Kishtwar, in Collaboration with Mahela Shakti Kendra, Wednesday organized a Mega Awareness Programme on “Empowerment of Women.”
The Programme was organized at Islamia Faridia College of Education and was attended by Secretary District Legal Services Authority Kishtwar, Principal Islamia Faridia College of Education, Teachers, Anganwadi Workers and Aasha Workers.
Advocate Naveed Khurshid, Advocate Aruna Rani, Advocate Mohsin Dar, Ruhi Shama ( Women Welfare Officer) and Shanu Rana (District Co-ordinator Mahela Shakti Kendra) were the Resource Persons for the programme.
Around 120 Women including Anganwadi Workers, ASHA Workers and Teachers participated in the programme.
The Resource Persons of the District Legal Services Authority discussed in detail various laws in place for Women. The entirely women audience were also sensitized about their role in conveying the message to the marginalised women and acting as a bridge between the masses and Legal Services Institutions.
District Legal Services Authority Kishtwar expressed gratitude to all those who made this programme a success, particularly the Principal Islamia Faridia College of Education for providing the venue.
