Inter Zonal Distt Level SQAY Martial arts championship gets underway at Pampore

Srinagar  : Inter zonal District level SQAY Martial art Championship was inaugurated on Tuesday at Govt. Girls Higher Secondary School here. District Youth Services & Sports Officer Pulwama and other senior officers and officials of the Department of YSS & School Education Department were present on the inauguration of the tourney.
In 62Kg U/19 age group category Zuhaib Ahmed, Mir Shakir and Numan Ahmed clinched gold, silver and bronze respectively while as in 60 Kg U/17 Category Safroan Aziz stood 1st Furqan Ahmed 2nd while as Faizan Ahmed remained third. Simultaneously in 49Kg U/14 age group, Faizan Ahmed, Mohsin Ahmed and Shakir Ahmed won Gold, Silver and Bronze respectively.
The mega championship is organized in all age groups for both boys and girls. The position holders and winners of these competitions will be selected for Inter-District level competitions in the game.
